China University of Petroleum (East China) is located in Qingdao West Coast New Area, which is the ninth state level new zone. It is a national key university directly affiliated to the Ministry of Education and a member of the “211 Project” and “985 Innovation Platform for Preponderant Discipline” universities, which has been listed in national “Double First-Class” University Project.
    China University of Petroleum (East China) covers all disciplines in the field of petroleum and petrochemical industry, among which Petroleum-related disciplines are in the overall level of domestic lead. In the fields of Geosciences and Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, two disciplines are selected in the list of national "Double First-Class" Disciplines and rated as A+ disciplines in the fourth round of national discipline assessment, five disciplines are State-Key Disciplines, two State-Key Disciplines have been fostered. Besides, another four disciplines rank top 1% in ESI: Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science and Earth Science.
