On November 27th, Chinese Academy of engineering announced the result of newly selected academicians in 2017. Professor Sun Jinsheng from UPC became an academician in Chinese Engineering Institute of Energy and Mining.
After graduating from College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering in Jiangxi Normal University, Sun Jinsheng obtained Master Degree in elementary organic chemistry in Nankai University in 1988 and doctoral degree in Oil-field applied chemistry in Southwest Petroleum University in 2006. In April in 2016, he got elected in leading personnel team from High Efficiency Production Unconventional Hydrocarbon Resources of Taishan scholars preponderant and characteristic discipline. In August 2016, UPC employed Sun as Second Grade Professor and doctoral supervisor.
There were 67 newly selected academicians in Chinese Academy of engineering in 2017, with 31 of which came from Institutions of higher learning.
